Physical TheraPT

Improving your game starts with a comprehensive assessment of your body and swing mechanics.

Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is the industry-leading educational organization on golf. Their team of sports scientists, medical professionals, and coaches has studied thousands of golfers since 2003 and amassed an invaluable library of human mechanics data.

Using this research, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. TPI has also analyzed how physical limitations can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.

WHAT A GOLF-SPECIFIC ASSESSMENT LOOKS LIKE

Your assessment begins with a conversation about your goals, your golf history, and any pain or injuries. Next comes a TPI physical screen: a series of movement tests that measure your mobility, stability, balance, and control. We then connect what we find in your body to what's happening in your swing, so you understand which limitations are most likely holding you back. You leave with a clear, prioritized plan built around your game.

She is a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist and Certified Functional Strength Coach, with TPI Level 3 Medical certification and Level 2 Power and Junior certifications.

She then builds a plan combining hands-on treatment, corrective exercise, and golf-specific power training so your progress carries over to the course. She works with golfers of all ages and abilities, from weekend players with back or shoulder pain to competitive players chasing speed and consistency, and juniors building durable swings.

An avid golfer herself, Heather calls The Olympic Club in San Francisco home. She knows firsthand how demanding the game is on the body and brings that perspective to every session.
